Instagram Ads How to Create A Campaign using Facebook Power Editor

In this post, I’ll walk you through how to promote your company through Instagram, starting with setting up your Facebook Business Manager account to launch your first Instagram advertisement campaign.

Set up Facebook Business Manager:
Before you begin using Instagram advertising, you’ll be required to sign up for an account for your business. Manager account.
Edit (09/10/2015) This was the situation when I was writing this article. Since writing, Facebook updated its help section to say that you can utilize the Instagram Ad Placement feature without connecting with the Business Manager.
But, if you don’t connect your Instagram profile to the Business Manager, you will not be able to reply to any comments posted on the advertisement. Additionally, instead of placing the handle on your Instagram, the Facebook name appears.
It will be greyed out and unclickable. However, I would still advise you to use Business Manager and link to your Instagram profile to achieve optimal results.

The accounts are designed to allow you to manage various advertising assets, including ads, pages, and employees, all in one location. Additionally, it allows you to join to connect your Instagram account to Facebook Ads. Facebook Ad platform.
Go to the Facebook Business Manager website and join the at the bottom of the page.
You’ll be required to enter your company information, select the primary Facebook page linked to the right of your Business Manager account, and provide your contact information.

Necessary: Shortly, you’ll only be able to manage the main page via The Business Manager and the Pages application. You could create an entirely new Facebook corporate page if you don’t prefer.

Once you have created your account, be sure to configure these critical settings:
- Include your Facebook pages
- Create a brand new ad account
- Include individuals, i.e., your company’s employees
- Assign assets (pages or advertising accounts, etc.) to you and your employees
- Establish an option to pay

Claim your Instagram account:
You’ll need to connect your Instagram account to the business manager in the next step.
To accomplish this:
Talk to your Business Manager
Select Settings-Click Settings–> Instagram Accounts (Sadly that if it’s not there, you’ll not be able to promote on Instagram for a while),
Make sure you click”Claim New” Instagram Account in the upper right corner.
How do I claim a brand new Instagram account via Facebook Business Manager?
Log in with your Instagram login information as username and password, then click the following button:
Log in with your user name and password to gain access to your Instagram account.
Then, click the checkbox on the right side of each account and allow their access to your Instagram account. If not, select Assign Ad Accounts and link your advertising accounts later.
Note: Despite having four ads associated with my Instagram profile, only one shows the Instagram advertisement location. It’ll take time before it’s accessible to all advertisers across all advertising accounts.

Make the ad campaign for Power Editor:
If you’re unfamiliar with the concept of Power Editor at all, I recommend you go through this instructional article from Andrea Vahl.
When you are in Power Editor, click Download to Power Editor, select your advertising account, and click Download.

Click Create Campaign, enter the name of the campaign, and choose the goal of Clicks to Website.
You’ll see an email with the following message: “New: Create ads for Instagram.”
Choose clicks to a website campaign similarly. If you choose the objective of installing mobile apps, be sure to read the same notice.
These two goals are the only two currently available on Instagram advertisements.
Edit (09/10/2015) The new feature is that you can now select the Video Views goal and promote your video on Instagram, up to 30 seconds long.

Set the name of your ad, choose the creation of a new ad, and then hit Create.

Choose the settings for your campaign:
Let’s move to the level for ad sets by selecting the middle option on the navigation bar to the left.
Choose the newly-created advertisement set and then click Edit. If you’ve ever used Power Editor before, you must be familiar with the primary campaign settings:
- Budget
- Schedule
- Audience
- Placement
- Optimization and Delivery
- Advanced Delivery
Just here, at the level for ad sets, you will be able to view the new placement option.
In the past, there were four ads, including a desktop news feed, a mobile news feed, the audience network on desktops, and the sidebar for desktops.
Then, there’s a fourth one, and that’s Instagram.
Display your advertisements on Instagram. Select Instagram advertisement placement
Suppose you’d like to advertise on Instagram. In that case, You can select only the Instagram advertisement or include other ones – in that case. The same ads will be displayed on both Instagram and Facebook.
After you’ve selected Instagram, choose the dropdown options available for Mobile Devices to run the advertisements across both Android and iOS phones, and simply one.
Important to note that the ads will only appear on mobile apps, Instagram’s desktop counterpart. Instagram.
Select mobile devices to view Instagram ads. This includes all gadgets, Android devices only, or iOS devices only.
Let’s now talk about the target audience for your Instagram advertisements.
Presently, Instagram ads can only be seen in Australia, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
Why are the countries only mentioned? I’m not sure. I’m confident that they’ll be expanding to other countries shortly like Twitter did this week.

Even if we’re not capable of advertising in all countries, I’ll tell you why I am awestruck by audience settings: We can discern the potential reach of every country.
This tells us the number of people who use Instagram in each country which helps conduct market studies.
