Today, we have with us a successful business entrepreneur from Italy, Jole Figliomeni– a lady with a strong vision and unmatched confidence. She is a successful businesswoman with 9+ years of experience in Project Management, operations, and consultancy. She is also involved in social and political activities. After working in various organizations, she decided to quit her job to start her own consultancy firm- MAS Business Solutions in May 2020. In this exclusive interview, she shares her success journey, aspirations, and challenges.
1. Tell us about your background? Where are you basically from, and why did you move to the West African Country of Ivory Coast?
I was born and brought up in the Calabria region of Italy. After some years, I moved to the West African Country of Ivory Coast. I shifted because I wanted to live in a society where people are not judged on the basis of their family background.
2. How did you become a businesswoman? When did you start MAS?
After completing my education in 2005, I worked in various organizations from 2014 to 2020 and gained experience in Process Management, Business Development, and Consultancy. It was in May 2020 I came up with the idea of starting my consultancy firm MAS Business Solutions, to support and strengthen SMEs and public administrations.
3. Please tell us about your start-up organization MAS Business Solutions?
MAS Business Solutions offers consultancy services to SMEs. We support companies in implementing digitization paths so that they can exploit the opportunities offered by technology.
4. What inspired you to start MAS Business Solutions?
The idea of starting my own consultancy firm stuck in my mind when the pandemic hit the entire world. I realized that the pandemic has severely disrupted the social-political context and caused irreplaceable changes in the market structure. At that very moment, I decided to start my own firm to help SMEs in digital transformation and help them scale.
5. What services does your organization offer?
We offer a diverse range of consulting services to businesses, including strategic & management consulting, innovation management, and risk management. Our services are primarily focused on helping companies overcome present business challenges so that they can have a better tomorrow.
6. As an entrepreneur, what’s the most memorable moment you have come across?
I consider myself very lucky that I’m involved in a business that inspires businesses to achieve new heights. Every time our amiable clients share their positive feedback regarding how our services helped their business scale makes me proud as an entrepreneur. It gives me the motivation that I’m on the right track.
7. What are the challenges you face as an entrepreneur?
Being an entrepreneur has been a roller coaster ride for me. There were many ups and downs that I have experienced in my journey so far. Fear of failure and taking risks has been the biggest challenges. However, taking risks and overcoming challenges have only motivated me to move ahead with confidence.
Success is a constant journey. There are many ways to measure your business success but make sure that you do not give up on your core values. Honesty, transparency, and integrity must be the core of your business operations to succeed in your journey
