Allowed Pets
Cats, dogs and birds are allow in cabin. El Al cannot guarantee that all breeds of dogs can fit in their kennels. Pets flying with them must be at least 8 weeks old, with a maximum weight of 15 pounds (no more than 10% of body weight) and height up to 12 inches measured from floor to shoulder (except for dachshunds whose height can be up to 14 inches). Pets must have appropriate inoculations against diseases common in Israel, including rabies. Animals consider dangerous or potentially aggressive are not permit in any cabin on an El Al flight. These include Rottweilers, Doberman Pinschers, chows and pit bulls as well as others listed under Dangerous Dogs Act 1991 Section 1-4A.
Animal Quarantines

You must also show proof of a red book for your dog or cat. When you arrive in Israel, your pet must be vaccinated again before entering a public place. If your pet does not have all required vaccinations, it will not be allowed into Israel. This means passengers will need to stay with their animals until they are cleared by customs. Dogs and cats can travel as checked el al baggage size without any additional fees; however, if you choose to carry them onboard with you, there is an additional fee per flight segment. The charge varies depending on which country you are flying from and traveling to; however, it ranges between $60-$70 USD per flight segment. In addition to paying extra fees for carrying your animal onboard with you, there may also be weight restrictions based on breed size and age.
Airport Requirements
