Improve teammate A.I.
Player AI has never been sufficiently polished in the NBA 2K series. Now fans of 2K games are calling on developers to make AI smarter.
2K22 feels like a serious drop in player AI. It often feels like non-player-controlled characters move completely randomly and don’t reflect real basketball.
Bring defense back into the light
The offense has been the focus of NBA 2K gaming for the past few years. In most cases, players want to have gorgeous offensive gameplay.
Improve paint defense
You may encounter a player making consecutive fake moves in the penalty area. While there is nothing wrong with this approach, it would be desirable for many players to be able to change it.
Remove visible shot and dunk meters for opponents
Over the past few years, players have created fewer and fewer touches. Much of this can be blamed on defenses knowing when to make a jumper or dunk because they can see the player meter.
One way to reduce this and bring back some realism is to remove the ability for defenders to see the shooting meter, so they can only time defenses based on purely animated predictions.
New animations for player movement
2K games have been using the same offensive and defensive animations for the past few years. This makes it impossible for players to maintain long-term love for the game. So players want to have new defensive and offensive animations in NBA 2K23.
We can pre-order NBA 2K23 right now, which will also give us a ton of rewards at the start of the game. These rewards include plenty of NBA 2K23 MyTeam Coins and some unique items.
